NEWS 🚨: On Jan. 18 an asteroid twice the size of the Empire State Building will zoom by Earth safely at about 1.2 million miles (5x the moon distance)

Asteroid (7482) 1994 PC1 caught on tape just now. 18 Jan 2022 12:45-12:52 UTC from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Cloudy condition makes it a bit hard for a clean view but the asteroid is bright enough to be easily seen on CCD. #1994PC1 pic.twitter.com/mPPp2sUKHl

Ko so posnetek nekoliko očistili, se asteroid lažje vidi.
Managed to clean up the original files.

Wow! Asteroid #1994PC1 is moving REALLY FAST! Watching it right now from Kuala Lumpur. This was taken 1 min exposure, FOV about 1.5 deg, and it's already trailing away! pic.twitter.com/CbZOS1OnOL

FACT: There is no known threat from any asteroid for at least the next 100 years.
