Naše novinarske ekipe so bile v vseh osmih volilnih štabih, kjer so predsedniški kandidati in kandidatke spremljali izide volitev. Dogajanje smo skoraj štiri ure spremljali v živo, ob koncu dneva pa smo soočili Anžeta Logarja in Natašo Pirc Musar, ki se bosta pomerila v drugem krogu.
Volilci so v prvem krogu predsedniških volitev izbirali med sedmimi kandidati, ki so bili na glasovnicah navedeni po naslednjem vrstnem redu: Milan Brglez , Anže Logar , Janez Cigler Kralj , Miha Kordiš , Nataša Pirc Musar , Vladimir Prebilič in Sabina Senčar . Slavila sta Logar in Pirc Musar , ki gresta v drugi krog. Naši novinarji Miha Orešnik , Sarah Neubauer , Manca Turk , Marko Valadžija in Jakob Murovec so spremljali dogajanje na terenu. V štab k Logarju je prišel Janez Janša , predsednik stranke SDS, katere član je tudi Logar. Janša izjav ni dajal . K Nataši Pirc Musar je prišel njen podpornik, nekdanji predsednik države Milan Kučan . Po deveti uri zvečer se je dogajanje iz štabov preselilo na Gospodarsko razstavišče v Ljubljani, kjer so se v medijskem središču zbrali vsi kandidati. Tam smo prvič na N1 soočili Logarja in Pirc Musar, ki se selita v drugi krog.
